The Casey-Westfield Jr. High Braves Scholastic Bowl Team participated in the Paris Crestwood Regional and brought home some hardware!
In the first match of the evening in Pool A, the Braves took care of business against Martinsville, 290-140. They then defeated Palestine-Hutsonville 310-145 to move to the championship game, where they met Oblong. Getting out to a commanding early lead, the team never looked back as they won 255-155 to secure a Regional title.
The team was anchored by Kolton Davidson who answered a hefty twenty-four tossups! Corbin Easton followed that with nine, while Rylie Large, Emmy Redman, Chloe Taylor, Gabriel Cornejo, and Lexi Boyd each contributed a toss-up. This has been a great season to this point, and each and every member of the team has had their great moments.
Sectionals will be Monday, April 29th, right back at Paris Crestwood, where the 19-5 Braves will take on 3 other schools for the right to move on to the State Tournament.
