Dear Parents,
We love that our Monroe students go to the home football games and support our Warriors. With a home game tomorrow evening, I want to take this time to share the behavior expectations that our Monroe students need to meet at these high school football games. Going to these games should be fun and enjoyable experience for all. Parents, please make sure you are accompanying and supervising your grade school children at these games.
🏈Behavior Expectations for Grade School Students at Football Games
🏈Respect for Others:
Stand at Attention: Please be respectful and face the flag and be quiet during the National Anthem
Respect each other: Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
No Yelling: Be mindful of the noise level and avoid shouting or screaming during the game.
No Name Calling or Taunting: Refrain from making fun of each other, opposing players, coaches, or fans.
🏈Safety First:
Play Nicely: Avoid roughhousing or aggressive behavior. There is absolutely no tackling when playing football with your friends.
Trash Disposal: Properly dispose of any trash you generate.
No Throwing: No food, drinks, or trash.
Respect Facilities: No climbing or touching of the fence, and no climbing under bleachers. No students are allowed on the tennis courts.
🏈Responsibility:
Follow Rules: Adhere to all stadium rules and regulations.
Be a Good Representative: Represent your school and community positively.
By following these guidelines, grade school students can help create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone at the football game. If you fail to follow these rules, you will be asked to leave and possibly suspended from future sporting events. Mrs. Rhoads and Mrs. Taylor will be contacted immediately if any issues arise. Home sporting events are an extension of the classroom, and discipline consequences will remain consistent with expectations during the school day.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Rest assured, our unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our students and staff is steadfast.
Casey-Westfield Schools has not received any credible threats to our children or school. Any information suggesting otherwise is unfounded.
We understand that concerns about school safety are natural, and we encourage you to contact us if you have any questions or need further clarification.
It's essential to be aware of the severe consequences of false reports, including "swatting," a malicious practice involving making false threats to prompt a police response. These actions can cause fear and anxiety and disrupt the educational environment for everyone. Please be mindful of the information you share on social media and refrain from spreading rumors or unverified claims. Many schools nationwide deal with this issue, including several in Southern Illinois and Indiana. All of those reports have been unfounded as well.
Please remain vigilant and continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff. If you notice anything unusual or concerning, do not hesitate to report it immediately.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Mike Shackelford,
Superintendent
